Beach huts and Bembridge beach
Last week was spent visiting the Isle of Wight. An overnight stay at a campsite just outside Southampton was convenient for catching the ferry on Monday morning.
The IOW campsite, Whitefields Forest, was located south of Ryde near to St Helens and Bembridge. Very pretty seaside villages with lots to see and do including lovely fresh seafood.
Places visited include Osbourne House, Ventnor Botanical Gardens, the Garlic Farm, Winkle Street, all the seaside towns including Yarmouth. I can honestly say that I enjoyed every part of the island. The views from Culver Down looking over to Portsmouth were stunning.The weather was glorious all week and it was easy to get out and about and see the countryside.

What a great place to visit! I went over to the OIW last September and visited the Garlic Farm where I bought my seed garlic.
ReplyDeleteLovely pics - used to go there a lot as as child - we used to go to Bembridge a lot and used to stay at Whitecliff Bay - have tried to get Joe to go caravaning there but no go!! have a great rest of your hols best wishes Lesley x
