Still some colour in the garden from the lingering sunflowers and hopefully more to come with the polyanthus seedlings that my Mum gave me last week for potting on. I am ready to put my garlic in next week and the brassicas are all recovering well since the caterpillar attacks a few weeks ago.
Yesterday the boundary hedge had a good trimming from Ed, the local farmer. He kindly brings his tractor over with his hedging attachment and attacks the hedge from the field side which soon gets through the hawthorn, elder, holly and laurels - all for a mere £30! The other bonus is that we do not have to clear the field side as it is not used for anything at the moment. Just the garden side to tidy up.

you were up with the Lark then removing all the cob webs from your 'city' life - from one GOWQ to another lol - Lesley x
