Having problems posting pics at the mo so I have put one of my favourites from earlier this year on to my blog this time.This is the beach near St Helens looking over the bay to the village of Bembridge on the Isle of Wight. It is a lovely spot with a nice (slightly overpriced) restaurant next to it. I am hoping to go back to the IOW but not sure it we can fit it in next year but would love to return as it had a nice feel to the island.
Our recent trip to Whitby for our 25th wedding anniversary brought back lots of memories as we honeymooned there and even managed to find the B&B that we stayed in and it is still open as a B&B! We stayed at the Marine Hotel www.the-marine-hotel.co.uk which is right on the harbour side looking across to the Abbey. It was exactly as it is described on the website and has good reviews on trip advisor. We stayed in room 2 which has a lovely comfy lounge area with the bedroom on a mezzanine level. You ring down for tea and coffee which is brought to your room, the service was excellent. I would strongly recommend eating in the restaurant especially if you enjoy seafood.
Wandering through the narrow streets over on the Abbey side was really nice and even though the wind was up and the waves were high the walk on the pier was great with plenty of bracing sea air!

Congratulations to both of you on 25years just thought i would tell you i had terrible problems with blogger and uploading photos after comming back of holls i eventually sorted it by going into the settings and reverting back to the old version of the uploader hope this makes sense they say it will eventualy only be the new version why i have no idea as it does not work !!!! and they changed it without my knowing while we were away anyway good luck with it luv Sue x
